Ex-protection solenoid in stainless steel execution MKY45_K9

Wandfluh has extended the solenoid coil MKY 45/18x60 with a new stainless steel execution. The solenoid housing is completely jacketed with stainless steel AISI 316L material. The solenoid coil is used in applications where there is an explosive atmosphere and an appropriate type of protection of the coil is required. It has a large number of diverse explosion protection certificates: ATEX, IECEx, UL/CSA, EAC, Nepsi, MA, Inmetro and Australia. Thus, it can be used worldwide in installations up to explosion protection zone 1 or 21 respectively as well as for mining. In combination with Wandfluh stainless steel valves, the highest degree of corrosion protection “K10” is offered. Thus the whole valve is constructed out of AISI 316L and thus meets the high requirements for use in the shipping and offshore industry. For use on proportional valves, the solenoid coil is also available with integrated electronics It is directly mounted into the coil and IP67 protected. The electronics can also be used with a switching valve to save energy. Here the electronics reduces the solenoid current after switching the valve to a smaller holding current.
